For the last 20 years I have been sewing clothing for the premature baby in sizes from 680gr to 2700gr and custom garments any size requested including baptismal and bereavement gowns. To date the smallest garment was for a little girl only 225gr and only 18 weeks gestation.
I love to knit and would love to knit preemie garments, especially sweaters and hats, to help keep these tiny tots warm and healthy but as usual have a hard time finding something “just right” to follow the guidelines set by the nurses at the NICCU.
This evening I found your patterns and am so very excited to see knitting patterns already made for preemies, I was beginning to think I had to make them myself, just like I did for the clothing I sew. Thank you so much, within the next couple of days I’ll be purchasing my first preemie knitting patterns to try them out.
