 Lovely summery outfit in lilac and white for your doll!

Model 0173D AMANDA - Sweater, pants, cap and shoes
(This pattern fits 17" - 18" dolls like American Girl doll, Baby born (Zapf), Hannah (Götz) and Alexander doll)

First, I knitted the sweater in white. A white sweater was beautiful with these lilac pants.

I have knitted a small pattern along the sleeves. The pattern is knitted over 8 sts and was perfect to use along the pants as well. The sweater has an opening along the back and is buttoned at the top back.

Pattern: (Knitted back and forth over 8 sts)
1st row: Yon, slip 1 sts, knit next sts pull slipped sts over, k1, p1, k1, p1, k2tog, yon
2nd row: p2, k1, p1, k1, p1, p2
3rd row: Yon, slip 1 sts, knit next sts, pull slipped sts over, p1, k1, p1, k1, k2tog, yon
4th row: p2, p1, k1, p1, k1, p2
Repeat these for rows.
Knitting pattern in the round:
2nd row: k2, k1, p1, k1, p1 , k2
4th row: k2, p1, k1, p2, k1, k2
Cast on 80 sts and knit 5 rows ga, 2 rows st st, 4 rows ga. Continue knitting in the round or 4 double pointed ndls or a little circular ndl and knit 2 rows st st. On next row increase 8 sts evenly on row = 88 sts on row. Continue knitting st st until work measures 8 cm before casting off for the armholes like this: Begin at 1 side: Cast off 3 sts, k38, cast off 6 sts, k38, cast off 3 sts. Continue knitting front and back separately.
Front: : Continue knitting st st and decrease 1 sts at each side = 36 sts on row before knitting st st until work measures 14 cm. On next row cast off the 12 center sts for the neckline and knit each side separately. Cast off 1,1 sts along the neckline every second row. Knit 3 rows st st and put shoulder sts on a cable ndl.
Back: Continue knitting in the same way as front until work measures 11cm. Then divide work to get an opening along the back. Continue knitting st st and 3 edge sts in ga along the opening over the 18 first sts on row. When work measures 14.5 cm cast off for the neckline like this. Begin from the WS. Cast off 6,2 sts every second row. When work measures ...

Then I knitted the pants in lilac. I have used this small pattern (over 8 sts) along both sides of these pants front and back. The top is buttoned with small pearl buttons, which are lovely on your doll.

The pants are folded around the legs along the last knitted row of eyelets. It is short legged and very nice for warm days.

Pants
1st leg:
Cast on 56 sts and knit 3 rows ga. Continue knitting 2 rows st st inside 2 sts at each side knitted in ga. On next row knit a row of eyelets inside edge sts like this: k2tog, yon alternatively across row. Continue knitting 7 rows st st and edge sts before knitting 1 row of eyelets. = folded edge. Continue knitting 3 rows st st before knitting st st and pattern like this. (See pattern for the sweater) K2 edge sts, k8, knit 8 sts pattern, k20, knit 8 sts pattern, k8, k2 edge sts. When work measures 10 cm (end work here knitting 2nd or 4th row pattern) Put work aside and knit the other leg in the same way.
Continue knitting both legs onto a little circular ndl or 4 double pointed ndls and continue knitting 2 rows st st and pattern over all sts. Place a marker for center front and center back. Begin row  ...

I knitted a cap to make this outfit nice for outdoor-days.

The cap has a row of eyelets in white around the edge ...

... and at the top is has 2 bows, 1 lilac and 1 white sewed tog.

(Can be knitted in lilac or white)
Cast on 68 sts in lilac and knit 5 rows ga. Then knit the sts onto 4 double pointed ndls and continue knitting in the round. Change to white and knit 1 row, purl 1 row = 1 ridge on the RS. Continue knitting 1 row before knitting a row of eyelets like this: K2tog, yon alternatively across row. Then knit 1 row, purl 1 row = 1 ridge on the RS. Change to lilac and knit 2 rows st st. On next row increase 1 sts in every sts across row = 136 sts on row. Continue knitting  ...

With a pair of shoes buttoned around the ankle with a little pearl button, ... En sniktitt på oppskriften ... Shoes Knitted in lilac or white. Cast on 36 sts in lilac and knit 3 rows ga. On next row knit a buttonhole like this: K2, k2tog, yon and continue knitting 4 rows ga. On next row cast off the first 4 sts on row. For the other shoe knit a buttonhole at the end of the row like this: Knit until 4 sts are left on row, yon, k2. Continue knitting 3 rows st st. Change to white and knit 2 rows ga. Change to ...
