Doll knitting pattern

Be inspired with the stripes and squares

Model 0165D GABRIELA - Sweater, cap, suit, socks and mittens
(This pattern fits 17" - 18" dolls like American Girl doll, Baby born (Zapf), Hannah (Götz) and Alexander doll)

I found a little pattern that is fine here.

I knitted the stripes and did the decreases around the shoulders.

I knitted a neckband in grey and sewed small sweater buttons along the front band.
The buttons were perfect for this sweater.
When I had finished this sweater I thought it was beautiful.

Sweater
Cast on 112 sts in grey and knit 1 row. Continue knitting rib, k1, p1, alternatively inside 6 sts ate each side knitted in ga = front band. Knit 4 rows rib, change to yellow and knit 2 rows st st inside edge sts knitted in grey before knitting 4 rows rib inside edge sts. Continue knitting st st and edge sts and on the 3rd row increase 10 sts evenly on row = 122 sts in total Knit the 1st buttonhole like this: K2, k2tog, yon. Repeat buttonholes with approx. 3,5 cm between the buttonholes. At the same time continue knitting spots. (See pattern A). Knit until work measures approx. 10 cm. Knit 2 rows in grey before casting off for the armholes like this: K30, cast off 6 sts, k50, cast off 6 sts, k30. Put work aside and knit the sleeves.
Sleeves: Cast on 28 sts in grey and knit 1 row. Continue knitting a rib, k1, p1 alternatively and at the same time knit the sts onto 4 double pointed ndls and knit in the round. Continue knitting ...

Lovely warm socks were knitted in grey. Warm and cozy for the feet.

Mittens
Cast on 32 sts in grey and knit 1 row.  Change to yellow and knit the sts onto 4 double pointed ndls and continue knitting 5 rows st st.  On next row knit a row of eyelets like this. K2tog, yon alternatively across row.  Continue knitting st st until work measures 4 cm before decreasing the mittens like this: k2tog at  ...

Socks
Cast on 32 sts in yellow and knit 1 row.  Change to grey and knit the sts onto 4 double pointed ndls and continue knitting in the round. Knit 1 row st st before knitting a rib, k1 p1 alternatively across rows until work measures 4 cm.  Continue knitting 8 rows st st over 16 sts for the heel.  Next row: K6, k2tog TBL, k2tog, k6. Next row: Purl 7 sts (to back of the heel).  Put both sides  ...

I knitted a pair of mittens and fastened them at each end of a chord.

Next, I knitted the cap. This cap is lovely and warm as it has a scarf round the neck.

It is knitted in stripes. I crocheted yellow edges around the edges front.

Then next, I made a string of double threads in grey and yellow, and then I made a bow and sewed it on the top of the cap. It enhances and complements the sweater in such a lovely way.

Cap
Cast on 100 sts in yellow and knit 1 row.  Change to grey and knit 2 rows ga. Change to yellow and knit 2 rows ga. Continue knitting in the round and knit the sts onto 4 double pointed ndls. Knit 2 rows st st before knitting stripes. 2 rows grey, 2 rows yellow alternatively. On the 2nd row grey do the following decreases on each ndl.
K1, k2tog, knit until 3 sts are left on ndl, k2tog TBL, k1.  Repeat these decreases on each ndl = 8 decreases on 1 row.  Continue repeating these decreases every second row 5 times altog = 60 sts on row. Continue knitting a rib in yellow, k1, p1, alternatively across row 5 rows altog.  On next row cast off the first 7 sts on row, knit st st until 7 sts are left on row, cast off these sts.  Continue knitting forth and back. Purl next row inside 1 edge sts at each side. On next row  ...

Then I began knitting the pants and thought it would simply be an extra garment for the sweater. However, while knitting it become evolved into a suit. I knitted squares around the beginning of the legs and continued knitting stripes up to the waist.

Suit
First leg:
Cast on 56 sts in yellow and knit 3 rows ga.  Change to grey and knit 2 rows ga.  Change to yellow and knit 2 rows st st inside 2 edge sts knitted in ga.  On the next 2 rows knit a pattern for the leg. (Pattern C). Knit 3 rows with spots. Continue knitting 2 rows st st inside 2 edge sts knitted in ga.  Continue knitting stripes in grey and yellow until work measures 8 cm.  Continue knitting stripes and increase 1 sts at each side inside edge sts every 4th row 4 times altog = 64 sts on row. Continue knitting stripes until work measures 13 cm for Baby Born, (16 cm for American Girl doll). Put work aside and knit the other leg in the same way.
Knit both legs onto 4 double pointed ndls or a circular ndl and knit 2 row st st over all sts.  Place a marker for center front and center back.  Begin row from center back and do the following ... 

Coming to the waist, I knitted a few rows in yellow ga. Then after a stripe in grey, I knitted the top in yellow. The sleeves have the same squares as the squares at the beginning of the legs. Finally I knitted the neckband knitting squares in grey and yellow. It matches the suit very well.
