Model 0149D SOPHIA -Sweater, cap, pants
and socks (This pattern fits 17" - 18" dolls like American Girl doll, Baby born (Zapf), Hannah (Götz) and Alexander doll)
This year (2016), once a month, we are going to dress our doll Sophia with a new garment. I found it a
little difficult to decide what to knit for our Project Sophie for May; but at last,
I ended up knitting these clothes. They are
knitted in Thin Merino Wool. I love to
knit with this yarn. It is nice for my
doll clothes. As I find the colors brown
and grey nice together, I decided to use these colors together with white.
First, I knitted the sweater. It is knitted in a rib and has an opening at one side were I have knitted a flap and a buttonhole.
It is buttoned with a button.
I made a cord in double thread in brown and beige. After I made it a bow and sewed to the back of the hat.
After the sweater, I knitted the cap. It has the same stripes as the sweater has along the head. Back it is knitted in white with a long decrease.
It also has straps under the feet.
Den er strikket som en strekkbukse og har stropper under bena.
At last, I knitted a pair of white socks as accessories to these clothes.
I think my
doll Sophie looks very nice in these new clothes.
I hope you
will enjoy knitting them for your doll.
Good luck!
Regards
Målfrid
