Model 0135D KINE - Suit, Bonnet, Socks, Blanket
(This pattern fits 17" - 18" dolls like American Girl doll, Baby born and Alexander doll)
I had a lot of yarn in this sand color at my house, so I thought it could be used to knit some baby clothes for my doll Kine. If you cannot find yarn in sand, color knit it in white or off-white. Both these colors will be nice. Alternatively, you can choose any color you might want.
Many of you ask for baby patterns so this time I decided to knit a nice suit with hole (eyelet) pattern. I like that very much. This suit is knitted ...
... quite wide. The yoke and front band are knitted in double moss stitch. Along the collar, I have knitted a row of eyelets as well. The buttons I have chosen in lilac as I have knitted a lilac blanket. I think its fine to use the same color for the buttons as well. The suit has chords round the legs and round the arms between double moss sts and st st with the pattern.
The bonnet I knitted I think a little "old fashioned". It has ...
... a wide edge front in double moss sts. The bonnet is knitted in the hole pattern. (The same as for the suit) I made a little thick chord and sewed it to the top of the bonnet. Cute I think!
The socks are knitted in double moss sts round the legs. I used st st and holes for the foot as the edges for the dress are knitted in double moss sts. Then I thought the double moss sts could better be hidden under the edge of the suit.
Dressing my baby doll Kine in these clothes, I thought she looked adorable.
Looking at her, I thought that a lovely blanket ...
... would be nice to complete these clothes. Having lilac yarn left here, I decided to knit the blanket in lilac. I feel that many of you are very fond of lilac colors. This blanket is knitted with edges in double moss sts and pattern with holes between. The blanket turned lovely round little Kine baby doll.
I hope you will like these clothes!
Enjoy your knitting!
