A year ago I retired from working in a Bank for 37 years and was bored ,so I decided to start knitting again.
My favourite things to knit were baby clothes but sadly we have no grandchildren or other babies in the family.
I have been knitting for unfortunate new babies in Africa for the "Baby-pack project" .They say that this project started when an English lady living there saw babies being discharged from maternity hospitals wrapped in newspaper.
I have been trawling the "net" for months looking for patterns for babies that were just that bit different, because I wanted a "CHALLENGE" and came across YOU! They were a bit awkward to decipher at first but I have re-written them like an English pattern as I have gone along.
Next I bought a doll from e-bay UK,because I just had to have a knitted set of my own to keep. It is an 18inch Antonio Juan "Baby Awake" doll and although she has a gorgeous face I have taken a rear view photo showing that your patterns are as beautiful from the back as they are from the front.
Don't you think so ?
